MBR Engineer

Job Description

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates areas of non-conformance with regard to defects arising during the manufacturing process and as compared to the product definition requirements as defined by the part print.

  • Evaluate and provide a course of action with regard to the ultimate disposition of the part.

  • Perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts manufactured in an aerospace manufacturing facility.

  • Analyze variations to part print specifications which effect part form, fit, and function.

  • Capture and document root cause analysis for verified discrepancies.

  • Work with suppliers to identify and implement rework and manufacturing process changes.

  • Requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

  • Requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US.

  • Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment, focused on rotating parts.

  • Support off-site program tasks as required.

  • Must have working knowledgeable of GD&T requirements.

  • Knowledge of MRP system a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of SolidWorks a must.

  • 10+ years aerospace experience.

  • 5+ years of MRB experience.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and techniques a plus.

  • Gear MFG a plus but not required.

  • Aerospace product knowledge a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering - or related engineering discipline - required.

  • Proficiency with basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is required.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a variety of assignments.

  • Ability to work with others to develop solutions but does not require constant supervision.

  • Ability to deal with change and pressure with shifting priorities, deadlines and goals.

  • Ability to respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems.

  • Has strong problems solving skill

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
