Chip City now offers over 50 unique cookie creations with a weekly rotating menu.
It has since expanded to over 18 bakeries throughout NY and NJ with plans to open additional bakeries in multiple states soon.
What job are we baking:
We are looking for a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our Corporate Office in College Point - Queens, NY! The ideal candidate will be an experienced Human Resources professional supporting a variety of functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, payroll, compliance and more.
The Human Resources Generalist serves as the first point of contact for all Chip City employees.
This role reports to the Chief People Officer and partners with managers throughout the organization.
This is a hybrid position with a schedule from Monday - Friday, 9:
00am - 5:
00pm.
Your bakery duties:
Talent Acquisition Responsible for attracting, sourcing, interviewing, hiring employees, all while supporting the long-term goals of Chip City Partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs Designs job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position's requirements Organizes and attends job fairs and recruitment events Leads employer branding initiatives Onboarding Welcomes new hires to Chip City with a prepared onboarding Gathers and completes all required paperwork related to new hires in compliance with law Ensures new hires receive all necessary hardware, software, and access Provides new hires with Chip City employee handbook, guidelines, and passwords, as needed Benefits Assists employees with the open enrollment process Distributes all benefits enrollment materials Responds to benefits inquiries from employees Payroll Processes payroll on a weekly basis by inputting, reviewing, and auditing timekeeping and other payroll related records Performs tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll records Reviews payroll before finalizing to ensure accuracy Addresses and resolves payroll problems in a timely manner Compliance Ensures employees are in compliance with federal, state, and city laws Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rate, organizational structure, and other key details Completes audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, payroll audits, training audits, and other compliance reviews Special Projects Supports the Chief People Officer with expanding and developing all areas of the Human Resources department Identifies areas of opportunities and creates solutions to improve the employee experience Performs other duties as assigned Your main ingredients:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent required Three years of Human Resources experience, with at least one year in Human Resources Generalist preferred Strong customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with HR software, including Microsoft Office

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
